HATRED…towards reading, now ironic

Anyone like to read? Books? Magazines? Blogs? Anything? That is DEFINITELY not me. to say that I HATE reading is an understatement, believe it or not. If there is a movie of it, I’ll watch the movie. If not, I guess I won’t know the story. That’s fine for me. Ironic though, despite the loathing I have towards reading, how much I love to read the BIble. the Bible is refreshing. You could be reading about how Israel slaughtered another nation, or how someone died, and it is refreshing. I guess this would be, because all of this happened because of God.

God was with them no matter what. I had always heard youth pastors and other pastor talk about how much they enjoyed their time with God, and how they began to desire the times in the word. When they missed it, they would long and yearn for the next moment. I now know what they were talking about. I have felt that way, because in the hustle and bustle of everything, whether schedules, or activities, or business, the bible reading has been slacking on my part. Sad, I know, and humbling to admit that I am not perfect… shocker to some, I know– but you’ll get over it. Anyhow, I can truly say that I miss it. I long and yearn for my next “appointment”, devotions sounded too old skool, with God. I am always amazed, at what ever the story, or reading, that God is able to speak something into my life…
